All action on the creek.
How we work
We are a volunteer led community group that has regular working bees and meetings. We work closely with our sponsors, corporate groups, local businesses, schools, other community groups and the community to achieve better outcomes for the creek. If you would like to find out more about the nitty-gritty of how we work, please come along to one of our bi-monthly meetings or just pop down to an event to get involved. We’d love to meet you!

schools
We work with numerous local primary and secondary schools. Workshops and educational talks were also carried out. One of our biggest goals is to connect with as many children as possible - to show them the joys of spending time on the creek and the importance of looking after our flora and fauna. Please get in touch to enquire for your school.
CORPORATE GROUPS
We enjoy working with a wide range of corporate groups and businesses. We welcome corporate involvement, whether on ground works or sponsorship. Please get in touch to enquire about volunteering.
ART PROJECTS
We have had lots of fun with various art projects including: A poetry competition and exhibition, bin wrap art, murals, poster and sign designs, making short films, watercolour workshops, photography rambles, silk screen printing and much more. We are very keen on reaching as many people as possible and using many different ways to do it. Head over to our Walan-walan and Down the Creek pages to find out more about our latest wonderful art projects.
beautiful brimbank and Kororoit Creek Klean Up
Beautiful Brimbank is our litter arm of the FOKC. We apply for grants to run litter and waste campaigns and host litter clean ups, big and small. We are lucky to have partner group Kororoit Creek Klean Up running regular working bees along the creek. Get in touch and join them for a social rubbish pick up.
love your station day
Love Your Station Day is our clean up and plant care session at Sunshine Station. We give the area a bit of TLC with a good clean and weed. This event is a great opportunity to chat with people in the community who might not know much about the creek or even be aware that it exists. This event is run sporadically throughout the year.
