We are piloting some direct-seeding in the middle circle of our giant rock and log sunray and are looking for some young helpers for this fun project.

Inspired after our tour of the magnificent direct seeding plantings on Gatehouse St, Royal Park - we'd like to give it a go too. Start small think big.

On the day we will:

Play a little seed ID game - matching the seeds to the plants they will grow into.

Then we'll sprinkle seeds liberally all around the circle, cover it up with a jute mat blanket and water in.

Our young volunteers can watch them grow whenever they go past and think - I did that!

Afterwards we'll do a nature treasure hunt looking for all the wonders of the creek.

Tea, coffee, juice and biscuits provided - why not bring down your picnics and make the most of a lovely day on the creek.
