World Bee Day Planting at B Street Wildflower Garden

  • 2A Boreham Street Sunshine, VIC, 3020 Australia (map)

Let's celebrate World Bee Day by planting wildflowers for our adorable native bee species! B Street is a hot zone for native bees - the more flora we provide for them the better. Plants like Tufted Bluebells, Basalt Daisies, Native Geranium and Blushing Bindweed are huge hits.

We'll do some social planting and plant care followed by light refreshments as we bask in the happiness of a job well done and good company.

At the end of the session we can do an iNaturalist "bio-blitz" - if you don't have it already -we can help you upload the app and then we can take 15 minutes to all try to record as many different flora, fauna and funga as possible. It is lots of fun - particularly when you see you species counter rise! Great for citizen science data and for us to record what is present at our sites.

Entry to the B Street site is at 2a Boreham St, Sunshine.

Please bring your gloves and water bottles. It is wise to wear hats, long pants and shirts as well as sturdy shoes. We will supply tools but feel free to bring your favourite diggers etc along.

See you there!
